Greg said he would sell my Mom's house in 120 days, and he sold it in less. This was in a small town, with too much inventory in a poor market. I live 1000 miles away and Greg gave me the same service as if I lived in Bloomington. Nice job, Greg.

Dear Mr. Hundman,

Little in today's world says more than two little words - Thank You.  So today, Stephanie and I offer you a whole hearted thank you for the assistance that one of your agents provided to us on our recent relocation into the Bloomington area.

According to your website - your motto is "Our only business is delivering quality service", and if that is all we received then we would have been more than satisfied.

Early this year, Stephanie and I were presented with two different opportunities, one in Springfield and one here in Bloomington/Normal.  We felt that the one in Springfield would more than likely be the one that materialized and I searched for an agent online, and selected one whom we felt would provide us good service.  When it looked like Springfield would fall through, and the new career with State Farm would materialize and we would end up in Bloomington, I asked the Realtor in Springfield for a reference.  I called and emailed that Realtor, and never heard anything back.

I then asked for a referral from our Realtor in Denver, and got a different name, and ended up with the same results.  We were both feeling upset with the apparent lack of regard for those buying homes in this area.  So we decided to do the next best thing to a referral - Google.  I searched for Bloomington Realtors, and decided I would start at the top of the list and see what kind of response I would get.

The first name that showed up on Google was Greg Zavitz.  Immediately we were drawn to him.  From his photo we perceived a man who was friendly, outgoing and confident - someone we would be able to work well with, explain our needs and trust him to deliver what needed - which was recommendations on neighborhoods, builders, services, businesses, etc…  Greg didn't appear to be a "stuffy shirt" kind of guy - he looked like a friend.

I emailed Greg to ask about properties, and heard back from him within 30 minutes.  He asked what we were looking for, and promptly sent us a listing of homes that matched our criteria.  I work in software development, and the report that Greg sent us was the most professional, easy to use and informative report I had ever seen. 

We came into town on the 31st of January, you may remember that as the day the weather went crazy.  We actually arrived in Bloomington at 6:00am for an interview at State Farm at 8:00am and when I got there the place was closed.  I was worried that we would not be able to look at houses with Greg the next day.

Greg met us at our agreed upon time, and took us around town, showed us important places and helped us to see that Bloomington would be a place we would enjoy living.  At this time, I hadn't received an offer from State Farm and I told Greg that we were just looking to see if the town would be somewhere we would want to live.  We wanted Greg to know that so that we wouldn't waste his time, running us around town if he had other buyers/sellers who were ready to work with him.  Greg said not to worry - we were his priority that day, even though we had no immediate plans of moving.

Greg spent no less than 5 hours showing us all over town, lots of properties - all the while living up to the image we had built in our minds of what to expect from the photo on his site.

When we accepted the offer, and came back to buy a home, we had no doubts in our mind that Greg was our Realtor.  Again, he took us around town, showed us a couple of the houses we liked again, and took us to a new development, which is where we ended up buying.  Interestingly - we forgot our check book in Denver and wouldn't have a way to put earnest money down on the property - Greg said don't worry about it and covered it for us, until we were able to get back to Denver and send him a check.  That's what I call going above and beyond for your client - after all, Greg had known us for all of two days.

Once we put the offer in for the home, Greg negotiated hard for us, and got us the extras we wanted in the home, for the price we were willing to pay.  Greg truly was advocating for our needs.  After we had a contract, we were off to Denver, and then a vacation we had planned 5 months earlier to Mexico, where we would be unavailable for a week, and would not be back in Bloomington, until the week of our closing.

Greg ensured that he was aware of each step of the building process, making several trips to walk the property as it was being finished, and reporting on issues that he felt needed to be addressed and then took those concerns back to the builder and ensured that they were resolved.

Greg is a true professional, and a real people person.  He makes you want to do business with him.  He earns your trust from the first handshake and smile you get, and only works to build that trust as the transaction continues.  I have given his name to my Realtor in Denver as THE REALTOR in Bloomington to send referrals to, knowing how well he services his clients.  If we need to sell sometime in the future, which I hope isn't soon, Greg will be our first choice.

He was never pushy, or rushed.  Never tried to put us in a place where we didn't want to be.

Greg made us feel at home here in Bloomington.  We love our new house and neighborhood.  We have told everyone we know about him.
